Nan riverbank at Muang district, Phitsanulok province has the problem with erosion especially at the river bend area. To prevent losing of land, the municipality has planned to protect the riverbank using mattress and gabion. The expected length for protection is 500m.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Zinc Gabions (3x2x0.5) & Zinc Mattress (6x2x0.3) have been used. The gabion of 0.5m thick with 2m width has been put in the river at the toe of existing slope by mean of mobile crane to stabilized and protected the toe from erosion. The mattress, then has been put along the slope of 1V:2H to protect the riverbank. The length along the slope is 10 to 15m.
