The Limburg Department of Transportation began reconstructing route N71, a heavily travelled truck route, in the city of Hasselt (Limburg, Belgium). . The old and damaged asphalt roadway was also replaced. The road is the main route for trucks accessing and exiting the nearby residential area and commercial area. Due to the heavy traffic, the AWV Limburg wanted a product to help reinforce the new roadway. They were looking for a product that could withstand the load pressures from the constant truck traffic and help extend the lifespan of the newly paved road, minimizing the damage associated with the truck traffic, such as cracking and rutting. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

AWV Limburg chose to use the Maccaferri Road Mesh Type \u201cOmega\u201d to be installed under the new roadway. The Omega type is produced following the COPRO standards. The strength and flexibility of the Road Mesh reduce the cracking and rutting of the new roadway by absorbing the load pressures of the vehicle traffic and dispersing it more evenly over a greater area.
