On this Day, Kennon Road became the most scenic, historical, and oldest mountain highway in the Philippines and considered as a national treasure and heritage. The 33.53-kilometer road is the shortest route that leads to the highland city of Baguio.<\/p>\n\n

Constructed in the mountain range of Benguet, the road is prone to frequent road slopes disasters such as debris flow, rockfall, and shallow landslides, especially during heavy rainfall, earthquakes, and typhoons.<\/p>\n\n
