MacMat\u00ae R \u2013 Steel was used as revetment protection to increases the soil\u2019s resistance in Vertis Garden run-off section pond.<\/p>\n\n

A multi-purpose stormwater management technology was developed in Vertis North Garden that prevents flooding and erosion. It acts as a catchment pond and an open park that promotes relaxation and improves nearby residents\u2019 well-being for its green space.<\/p>\n\n

Maccaferri\u2019s\u202fMacMat\u00ae R, a steel-reinforced geomat, was used as revetment protection, which increases the soil\u2019s resistance to erosion by providing an environment that enhances vegetation growth.<\/strong>\u202fMacMat\u00ae R is made from a three-dimensional matrix of UV stabilized non-degradable synthetic fibers, heat bonded where they cross, extruded onto a double twisted steel woven mesh.<\/p>\n\n

The vegetation through the mat leads to an aesthetically green facing complimenting the beauty of the garden.\u202fA safe, innovative, and eco-efficient environment solution for a balance of urban and sustainable living.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The contractor, Makati Development Corporation, commenced work in February 2020 and completed the project in March 2020.<\/p>\n\n
